Dream, Desire

"Dear Wilhelm,

Why am I so sensitive to your photographic art ? Actually, all my dreams are just relying on prints of your phortographs, either albuminate or argentic, well, just on paper sheets...

Why your gaze, your aesthetic taste, the instructions you gave to your models are so relevant, so obvious for me ?

This is just a matter of desire, as you know. And desire is as a musical harmony, that creates unique vibrations among the so various instruments of a symphonic orchestra....

Why are you photographs creating so many vibrations in me ?

Because, indeed, there is no desire without vibrations... One can feel harmonics or not, with a woman, a boy or a photograph...

Your photographs of the boys of Taormina open a wide space for dreams, where the caresses of the gaze can meet those of the hand. You have a unique way to catch what makes a boy desirable, even when a Taormina shepherd is disguised as an Athenian shepherd....

Body curves and face, of course... Shyness mixed with a teen boy's virility too... and last but not least, the contour of a chest as well as the position of legs...

Well, in short, just a silhouette and so many signals attracting the viewer's gaze and desire...

Dear Wilhelm, is it possible to fall in love with one of your photographs ? Your model was in
front of your camera and he will be so forever... But your photograph makes him so actual, so close...

Dear Wilhelm, often, I felt in love with one of your models... I know they were not aware of it...  Should it be a comfort, or a suffering for me ?
