L'illustration qui accompagnait ce message était la carte postale dérivant de la photographie albuminée originale. La carte postale n'est pas datée, et ne comporte pas d'autre légende que celle qui est visible sur le recto.
La photographie albuminée originale est reproduite dans le livre de Vincenzo Mirisola et Giuseppe Vanzella, Sicilia Mitica Arcadia, Von Gloeden e la "Scuola" di Taormina, Palermo, Edizioni Gente di Fotografia, 2004, p. 59. Dans ce livre, la légende indique: Wilhelm von Gloeden (attrib.), Self-portrait with priest, albumen print, c. 1890.
La photographie est attribuée à von Gloeden, car elle ne comporte sans doute pas de cachet au verso et il évident qu'une autre personne se trouvait derrière l'appareil.

J'accompagne ce message de deux portraits datant des années 1890, et qui me semblent fort proches du visage de l'homme que l'on voit sur la carte postale "Confraternité". Qu'en pensez-vous ?

The illustration of the "Confraternité" message was a postcard printed from the original albumen photograph. The postcard is not dated and there are no other indications than what is written under the photograph.
The original albumen photograph is reproduced in the book by Vincenzo Mirisola and Giuseppe Vanzella, Sicilia Mitica Arcadia, Von Gloeden e la "Scuola" di Taormina, Palermo, Edizioni Gente di Fotografia, 2004, p. 59. In this book, there is this legend under the photograph : Wilhelm von Gloeden (attrib.), Self-portrait with priest, albumen print, c. 1890.
The photograph is attribuited to von Gloeden because there is probably not his usual copyright stamp on the verso. It is obvious too that someone else was behind the camera.

Oui, le visage est ressemblant. C’est l’allure de la barbe qui était un peu déconcertante, avec cette partie glabre vers les joues qu’on ne voit pas sur les autres portraits.
